WWFW - When life bugs you, become an entomologist

I don't want them crawling on me, but I will wear them as long as they are 100% dead.  It seems more acceptable than fur because their brains are the size of a pin prick.  Plus they account for more than two thirds of all know organisms.

Seriously, creepy crawlies are pretty inspiring creatures and they are everywhere this time of year, including your wardrobe.

Buprestis - Jewel Beetle
Threatened with extinction due to logging, but for some reason not getting as many column inches as your average fluffy victim.  Likes pine.  If its habitat from Western Europe to Russia is not up to scratch, maybe it could move to Ikea?  Plenty pine there!

Valorie glitter clutch, £250, Anya Hindmarch
Venus Orlato 140 ankle boots, £880, Christian Louboutin
(you may remember these babies, and if you're good, you may see them a thrid time round.  They are good enough to lick)

Anoplognathus _ Australia
That's Christmas Beetle to you and I.  Though it does look festive, it's actually called Crimbo Bug because there's a wealth of them around Christmas time.

Agrius Cingulata or Pink-spotted Hawk Moth
I've always loved moths, as long as they don't flutter anywhere near me.  That was before I knew they come in pink!  But now I also know that the hawk moth's wingspan measures between 9.5 and 12 cm, I'm glad that the majority of them live on the other side of the world.  According to Wikipedia, the source of the fountain of knowledge, they are nocturnal and have a penchant for deep throated flowers.  Ahem
